About Elisabeth Fredriksson

My name is Elisabeth and I'm a color addicted and nature-loving artist from Sweden. Art, in some form or another, has always been a part of my life. I grew up with my mother’s oil paintings on the walls, those had a great impact on me. When I was 10 to about 14 years old I did a lot of drawing. I could draw for hours and hours, time didn’t exist until my mom called me for dinner. I also painted a lot with watercolors. I got my first camera when I was 15. It ignited a deep passion for photography. I took pictures of pretty much everything. It was around this time my dad introduced me to Photoshop. For about 10 years, I made a lot of digital collages and developed my skills in PS. In 2011 I went to art school to explore other...

Art is unquestionably one of the purest and highest elements in human happiness. It trains the mind through the eye, and the eye through the mind. As the sun colours flowers, so does art colour life. -- Congratulations on your recent sale of this amazing work!

Elisabeth Ok, first about this image in particular -- abolutely incredible -- total mastry of Japanese stylization techique in the waves style; totally art deco in the combination of waves and moon; combined with totally minimal; combined with the essence of great color palette - its fabulous!! Now about your work in general (I'm going to comment on a bunch of other pix too, so this general comment Is for all of them too and doesn't need to be repeated) -- you are by far and away the best graphic artist I've encountered on FAA so far -- and there are other very talented graphic artists here, though you have to look through a lot of very average stuff to find them -- but you are on a level beyond that -- absolute master of your craft -- it's thrilling to see your art -- it does what art is really supposed to do for the viewer -- take them to a different plane of perception -- if I were a collector (which in my dreams would be in addition to being an artist) I would buy a lot of your works -- as it is I have over 200 works of my own that I love and that are waiting for wall space in my tiny NYC apartment (if you don't live in Manhattan or Tokyo, you can't really understand these space limitations except in some abstract way) so at this very moment you won't find me to be a buyer of your work because I absolutely don't have any room to display it -- but that in no way effects my perception of them because they are exquisite and I love them! I am going to post links to several of your works on my FB page so all my friends become aware of your work and can come to your FAA pages to view, and perhaps, buy it
Elisabeth Fredriksson replied:
Hi Ken, First of all, thank you so much for your kind words. I really appreciate it. I am very greatful. Second, I am so sorry I replied so late. It is just recently I've decided to start working more on my FAA gallery and I have not been here very much. Take care :)
